Terms & Conditions

  • The      Veterinary Surgeons Act of 1966 and The Veterinary Surgery (Exemptions)      Order 2015 states that anyone providing physiotherapy to an animal must be directed to do so by a veterinary surgeon. This means that a veterinary surgeon must refer or give permission for an animal to receive treatment by a veterinary physiotherapist. However, there are now some exceptions for clinically healthy animals, but this will be discussed on a case-by-case basis. If a referral is needed, failure to provide this by the time of treatment will result in your animal not being seen,      and the appointment will be rearranged.

  • IF AN ANIMAL PRESENTS LAME during assessment, treatment won’t be provided, and the      animal will be referred to the vet for a lameness workup prior to any      physiotherapy occurring

  • Any animal presenting with sickness, diarrhoea, contagious disease, or a flea/lice infestation will not be treated, and the appointment will be rearranged.      If you have not given prior notification of this and the veterinary physiotherapist has already travelled to you, then a £20 fee will be charged.

  • All animals should be presented clean and dry to their appointment. Animals who are wet and dirty may be unable to receive treatment, and the full appointment fee will be charged as a missed appointment.

  • Payment in full is due on the day of the appointment.

  • Restore Veterinary Physiotherapy will ensure that all prospective clients are fully informed of any excess travel costs if they are located more than 20      miles from LE67 2DQ. Clients located outside of this parameter will incur a 45p per additional mile charge.

  • If your animal is insured and you will be claiming for your animal's treatment, payment is due at the time of the appointment. You are advised to check your policy before booking an appointment if you are looking to claim.

  • All owners must sign an Owner Consent Form prior to veterinary physiotherapy treatment commencing.

  • The right is reserved to refuse physio treatment if the animal requires veterinary attention or if the animal is considered a danger to the veterinary physiotherapist.

  • Appointments cancelled within 48 hours of the appointment time will be subject to 50%      of the appointment fee. Cancellations within 24 hours 100% of the appointment fee being due. Depending on the circumstances, this fee may be waived.

  • Following repeat cancellations/rescheduling of appointments, Restore Veterinary      Physiotherapy reserves the right to request payment in full of all appointment fees and any applicable cancellation charges in advance when re-booking.
