Restore Veterinary Physiotherapy respects and understands the privacy of its clients. www.restorevetphysio.com is a domain run by Aivija Midega trading as Restore Veterinary Physiotherapy and is a sole trader business. 

To maintain the standards specified by the professional organisation I am a member of: The Institute of Registered Veterinary & Animal Physiotherapists (IRVAP).

The Purpose of this Notice:

Restore Veterinary Physiotherapy is fully GDPR (The General Data Protection Regulation) compliant. This privacy policy sets out how Restore Veterinary Physiotherapy uses and protects any information that you provide to Restore Veterinary Physiotherapy personally or when you use this website. This is designed to help you understand what kind of personal information is collected in regard to our veterinary physiotherapy services, what it is used for and how it is stored.

Personal data is information relating to an identified or identifiable person, including: an individual’s name, address, and contact details.

Personal Data Collected During Sessions and Security: ​ 

Restore Veterinary Physiotherapy will collect personal data to enable us to provide a thorough veterinary physiotherapy service for your animal. This will be collected either verbally, electronically via email or other forms of messaging (such as mobile phone messaging). 

This data will only be shared with your animals’ Veterinary Practice to obtain consent for treatment, as it is a legal requirement that anyone treating an animal must have veterinary permission to do so. A veterinary physiotherapy report may be sent to your veterinary surgeon, but your permission will be obtained before this. 

Any personal data, as well as information, photos or videos of your animal will be kept on a password-protected device or in a secure filing cabinet.  Consent will be obtained before any images or treatment are shared on social media or with a third party (veterinary surgeon). We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we will take all appropriate technical and organisational steps to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, availability and authenticity of your data and the information we collect.

Why do we need your Personal Data?

Your personal data is required to identify the animal to be treated by the Veterinary Surgeon.

It is also needed to enable me to keep detailed records about your animal(s) and their treatment as required by my insurance company.
 

Your data will be used to manage future communications between Restore Veterinary Physiotherapy and yourself, including future appointments, products and services, emails of offers, courses and newsletters.  
 

Data Retention:
All data will be retained for 7 years after the last dated treatment of your animal(s) as specified by my insurance company and the professional organisations, IRVAP.
 

Your Rights:

Please see below a summary of your rights in relation to your personal information under data protection law, some of these rights are subject to exemptions:

1) Right of access to your personal information held by Restore Veterinary Physiotherapy.

2) Right to rectify any personal information that is incorrect or incomplete.

3) Right to deletion of your personal information in certain circumstances where it is no longer required by Restore Veterinary Physiotherapy, or you withdraw your consent in relation to the receipt of marketing materials.

4) Right to restrict the use of your personal information in certain circumstances.

5) Right to data portability – this means that your personal information will be provided to you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format where the use of your personal information is by electronic means.

6) Right to object to the use of your personal information and direct marketing.

7) Right to withdraw consent where we rely on your consent as our legal basis for using your personal information.
